1) N.W.A. – F**K THA POLICE (1988)

Fuck the police comin’ straight from the underground
A young nigga got it bad ’cause I’m brown
And not the other color so police think
They have the authority to kill a minority
Fuck that shit, ’cause I ain’t the one
For a punk motherfucker with a badge and a gun
To be beatin’ on, and thrown in jail
We can go toe to toe in the middle of a cell
Fuckin’ with me ’cause I’m a teenager
With a little bit of gold and a pager
Searchin’ my car, lookin’ for the product
Thinkin’ every nigga is sellin’ narcotics

2) MARVIN GAYE – WHAT’S GOING ON (1971)

Mother, mother
There’s too many of you crying
Brother, brother, brother
There’s far too many of you dying
You know we’ve got to find a way
To bring some lovin’ here today, eh eh

3) DANIELE SILVESTRI – COHIBA (1996)

4) NASTY C feat TI – THEY DON’T (2020)

They don’t want me to win, they don’t want me to eat
They don’t want to see a young black man succeed
They don’t want to see me take my brothers out of the streets
They don’t want me
They don’t want me to sleep, they don’t want me to dream
They don’t want to see my people livin’ good and at ease
They wanna lock ’em all up and then get rid of the keys
We ain’t never free

5) D’ANGELO and THE VANGUARD – THE CHARADE (2013)

All we wanted was a chance to talk
‘Stead we only got outlined in chalk
Feet have bled a million miles we’ve walked
Revealing at the end of the day, the charade
With the veil off our eyes we’ll truly see
And we’ll march on
And it really won’t take too long
And it really won’t take us very long

6) RUN THE JEWELS feat GREG NICE & DJ PREMIER – OOH LA LA(2020)

Fuck a king or queen and all of their loyal subjects
I’ll pull my penis out and I piss on their shoes in public
People, we the pirates, the pride of this great republic
No matter what you order, muhfucka, we’re what you’re stuck wit
I used to love Bruce, but livin’ my vida loca
Help me understand, I’m probably more of a Joker
When we usher in chaos, just know that we did it smilin’
Hannibal’s on this island, inmates run the asylum

7)  PUBLIC ENEMY – FIGHT THE POWER (1989)

Elvis was a hero to most
But he never meant shit to me you see

Most of my heroes don’t appear on no stamps

No proper life to a dog
For a big dog

You justify those that died by wearing the badge, they’re the chosen whites
